Biography

Over the last four years Jane has been experimenting with many different home décor designs and has recently turned to hand built Sculpture to express her fascination with Mexican culture.

Her pieces reflect the warmth and hospitality of the Mexican people and the richness and diversity of both the Spanish influence and the heritage of Mayan and Aztec civilizations.

Another great inspiration for her work is the architecture and art of the islands of the south pacific. Simplicity and calm are reflected in the colours and textures of her home décor pieces and figurative sculptures.

In 2005 Jane designed a line of seven inch wall tiles featuring the motifs of her tableware and sculpture. These can be used as decorative tiles for a kitchen back-splash or be hung in groupings as decorative wall art. ( see: Mexican Tile Collage).
